• Always split aces and eights; never split tens or fives.
• Stand on hard 17+; hit hard 8 or less no matter what the dealer shows.
• Hard 12–16: stand against dealer 2–6, hit against 7 through ace.
• Double hard 11 against everything, and 10 against dealer 2–9.
• Soft 17 or less: always hit or double, never stand.
• Never take insurance — it carries a much bigger house edge than the main bet.
